Yeah - just saw the update and logged on to investigate. Looks like even Anet's proofreader is now working on GW2. I'm just wondering how they are working that hats this year - are we going to need the token, or can we still turn in the VTs to the other NPC that has always shown up afterwards?

GD my memory is gone. I have a bunch of low level toons I leveled up in the past for the Dragon Festival event, but I can't remember what quest they were for. Or, am I confusing festivals now? Would any kind soul be willing to remind me? I know other people have done it lol.

I wonder if the new quest will be account specific like the PVP quests where you can only do it one time for a reward. I can imagine it now, people with like 20 characters getting twenty old masks in a week.

I don't understand why the nerfs to PvE Avatar of Dwayna and Leech Signet. It is not like everyone is exploiting these 2 skills horrendously in PvE.

The AoD party healer was pretty bad in PvE, but maybe, just maybe, heals per attack skill might cause better HPS (unless it's only the hex removal that changed) With a Dark Fury spamming necro, IAS+FGJ the AoD mes can output attack skills very quick.

The reason Leech Sig wasn't split is simply because it's a shit skill to use in PvE anyway. No need to balance as no one was using it before anyway.

Can someone help me understand why there's all this hate about getting older festival masks? It's not like work went into getting them. You were in the right place at the right time. That's it. Comparing it to titles, least of all to GWAMM, is downright silly.

Yes the healing component is still the same. Leech Signet needs to be nerfed in PvE because it is a shit skill and no one was using it before? That's crazy of ANet.

ah...I think I have figured it out...

theory to follow:
there will be no new hats (no live team to make them)
kisu doesnt need to give out anything since there is nothing new to give out.
since there will be no new hats--all the old ones will become available.
so having an npc for giving out the old ones then makes more sense!
end theory.

Figured this out from the get go but there is still a chance there will be a new hat.

Leech signet was an odd nerf. Only good that comes of it is UW is a bit easier.
